Safemed Sdn Bhd was set up in 1998 in response to encouraging demands for safety and medical supplies and consultancy services from providers with the relevant professional background and experiences.

Due to continuous support from the Small Medium Industries and Oil & Gas Industries the company re-organise its structure into two sections i.e. consultancy and supply unit.

The consultancy unit is managed by Renny Ong, who had gained considerable exposure on Safety and Health while working as an Area Occupational Health Officer with Sarawak Shell Berhad from 1980 to 1996.

To formalize his diverse experiences, he sat and passed relevant examinations and obtained the following competencies from Department of Occupation Safety and Health (DOSH)

- Safety and Health Officer
- Noise competent person
- Chemical Health Risk assessor

Due to increase in demand for Industrial Hygiene services, in Aug 2013 Pheobe Renny, a Chemical Engineer graduate joined the unit and subsequently obtained the following competencies after passing the relevant examinations.

- Noise competent person
- Chemical Health Risk assessor

Since its inception in 2004, this unit has provided several consultancy services to a wide range of Small Medium Industries and the Oil and Gas Industries namely Petronas and Shell.

The supply unit is under the management of Jess Renny, who joined the company in 2012. He graduated with a Bachelors (Hons) in Building Construction Management in 2011.

Due to his dedication and enterprising qualities our range of supply products has expanded which includes, industrial chemicals, water treatment, industrial cylinders, office equipment, furniture, scientific equipment, medical equipment, safety equipment, laboratory equipment, IBC tanks, fire fighting equipment, marine equipment, building materials, hardware, etc.

As a result of regular substantial purchases and business confidence several Principals in the region and overseas have appointed us as their products agents.

The bulk of our supply business is with the oil and gas industries, with considerable quantity to the government sectors and private sectors.
